How I earned my initial dollars on the Internet By the time I write this note I have made 8 sales of my $7 product within 2 months of my signing up for the program though it is not an award winning achievement. I am only trying to convey that I am a living example to say that it is possible to make money online. I am new to Internet Marketing and been taking a keen interest in it for the past 10 months. I had been learning from Rangoo how to create a blog, how to add affiliate links to my blog, and how to market them. I had followed her instructions and also signed up for several free programs to know more about the various programs and training methods available for free. There are several video and audio training and several ebooks and reports in PDF. I found that there is a wealth of information we can get from the internet. But there are also plenty of scams, hype and blatant lies. 1. I also subscribed to a few newsletters and make notes. 2. Follow Internet Marketing News for updating my knowledge. 3. Joining and participating in forum discussions gave me the feeling that I can also try to earn my share of the Internet millions. 4. Download and study free videos, audio lessons and training material available at 'Make Money Today' membership site. The above exercises helped me to get rid of the skepticism making money online is a big lie and we can only loose money on the net. I got a good understanding of how the system works. I tried to read and understand the meaning of often used words in the internet marketing jargon like Search Engines, Page Ranks, Blogging, Affiliates, and so on. We only have to observe, ask questions and make use of good advice to dispel our doubts and disbeliefs. It is also very very important to put the knowledge to use. That means taking action. Taking action alone is not enough; you must stay focused and also persist. Internet marketing involves work that is simple. Once I gained confidence, I joined some free affiliate programs and tried to promote them. I have to admit that I was not serious enough and did not know that we have to do certain things on a daily basis though it takes only an hour or so. So there I was, making no progress. It just occurred to me one day that I must try one of the cheapest products so that I will be more serious and regular as I have made some investment of real money. I came across an info product called Instant Cash Secrets in IMNewswatch.com. I felt this was a good product for beginners and also because of its low price which is only $7 and I can earn 100% commission by selling it. I immediately bought it on 15th February 2008. . (By now I have gained some knowledge of how to identify a good program). http://tinyurl.com/2qfqbb I could download the PDF eBook immediately. The contents of the eBook threw open new doors for me. It has clear instructions of 4 different ways to make money online. I was interested in affiliate marketing and got down to promoting it immediately. How did I promote it? 1. I signed with different internet marketing forums and started making posts. There are two kinds of posts. i) You ask questions by creating a new thread to learn on specific topics and get answers from other forum members. ii) You can post a reply to the existing post if you have something useful to offer. The advantage is that you can promote your product with your forum signature which contains the URL of your affiliate website. These forums also allow you to place ads for your products. 2. I made a post in my blog. 3. I posted some ads wherever it is allowed free. I was surprised on 1st March to find a mail announcing the receipt of my first internet income of $7! From then on, I got a sale for the next 5 days. Now till I write this I had made 8 sales in less than 2 months. This is what I have achieved with my limited knowledge of affiliate marketing.
I started my WordPress blog http://holidayresortsblog.com on 2nd March 2008 under the able guidance of Ms. Rangoo. On the 8th of April 18, 2008, I have made $10 so far in Google AdSense through this blog. It is difficult to explain my feelings here as I am making some progress in my efforts to earn online, even though I have been earning through my freelance article writing for the internet over a year. It is my fervent hope that readers of this who are new to Internet marketing will find it useful and put it to action and benefit.
